Lucky Masala

Living and working near Srinivasa Circle means there is always something going on outside our door. Lucky Masala is located right here on 80 Feet Road, specifically in the 2nd Block, and we’ve seen the area change a lot over the years. We mostly spend our time dealing with different spices and making sure the packets are ready for whoever stops by. The smell of the shop is something you never really get used to, even if you work here every single day. It sticks to your clothes. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that, just this space on Shankarsheth Road where we keep our supplies. Most of the people who come in are locals from the neighborhood who need something for their dinner that night. We try to keep things simple because that's what works for us. Some days are slower than others, especially when it rains and the road gets messy, but we are usually here regardless. We handle the grinding and the packing ourselves mostly. It’s a lot of manual work and my hands are always a bit stained by the end of the shift. We aren’t trying to be the biggest shop in the city, just a reliable place where you can get what you need without a fuss. It is a family thing, more or less, and we just keep it moving one day at a time.
