Kanhaiya Masale

Our place, Kanhaiya Masale, is tucked away in the village of Lonavala. If you know the area near Ashirwad Hospital, we are not hard to find at all. It is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main tourist parts of town, which is nice for getting our actual work done. The air here in Maval always feels a little different, maybe because of all the green hills and the open space around us. We spend our days dealing with the spices, and you can usually smell them from the road before you even see the building. It is just a regular village setup, really. We get the mail at the local post office and know most of the people who walk by our front door every day. Sometimes the cows wander a bit too close to the entrance, and we have to shoo them away so the vehicles can get inside the yard. It is not a big corporate office or anything like that. It is just us working in this part of Lonavala and keeping things moving. The weather gets quite damp during the monsoon months, so we have to be extra careful with the storage then. Everything has to stay perfectly dry. We have been at this location for a good bit, and we like being near the hospital because it is a helpful landmark for people who are not from around here. We just open up, do the grinding and packing, and then close up.
