Dhanlaxmi Masala Center

Dhanlaxmi Masala Center is tucked away in Bhosarigoan, right in Hanuman Nagar at Bhagat Wasti. If you walk down the lane, you can usually smell us before you see us. The scent of ground chilies and turmeric is always in the air. We spend most of our time at the grinding machines. They make a lot of noise, so we have to shout to hear each other. We do not have a showroom or anything fancy. It is a workshop where we turn whole spices into powder. The floor is usually covered in a fine layer of red or yellow dust. We wear old clothes because the stains never come out. People from all over Bhagat Wasti come to get their masalas from us. They like the way we do things here in Hanuman Nagar. We do not add anything extra, just the spices. Sometimes people bring their own bags and we fill them up. It is a messy job and our eyes sting from the peppers sometimes. But it is a good business to be in. Everyone needs spices for their cooking. We have been in Bhosarigoan for a long time and the locals know us well. We do not do any delivery or have a phone line for orders. You just have to come down to the shop and see what we have. It is simple and it works for everyone around here. We just work hard every day.
