Sheela

We are right here on Jessore Road in Kolkata, specifically at 1/1. It’s pretty easy to find if you know where the No 2 Airport Gate is because we’re basically right there. Sheela’s Guest House and the restaurant are part of the same setup. Being so close to the airport means we see a lot of people just passing through or staying for a night before a flight. The area is always busy. There’s a lot of traffic on Jessore Road, you hear the horns and see the taxis all day long. We just focus on keeping the place running. It’s a local spot. Inside, things are a bit quieter than the street outside. We serve food and have rooms for people who need them. It’s not a huge place, just a regular building where we do our work. Some days are busier than others, especially when flights are delayed or it’s raining hard like it often does in Kolkata. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Most people find us because they’re looking for a place near the gate. We don't do anything too complicated here. We just make sure the food is ready and the guest house part is looked after. It’s a lot of routine stuff, checking people in and out, and keeping the kitchen going. That’s pretty much how our days go, day in and day out, right here near the airport gate.
