Our place is on the ground floor right on VIP Road in the Baguihati area. It is very easy to find because we are so close to the 44 bus stand. Because of the location, it is never really quiet here. You have the constant sound of the big buses and taxis zooming past towards the airport or into Kolkata. We see all kinds of people coming through, some just waiting for their next bus and others who live in the neighborhood. The floor gets dusty pretty fast because of all the traffic outside, so we are always sweeping. We have a small counter and some seating that isn't very fancy, just functional. The walls have a few basic decorations, but nothing that would win any awards. We spend our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure the supplies have arrived from the market. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on VIP Road, which can be a real headache. We have a few staff members who have been here since we opened. We just talk and work through the day. It’s a bit of a hectic spot to be in, but it keeps us on our toes. People pop in for a quick bite and then they are off again. We don't try to make it anything more than a simple place to stop by when you're traveling through Baguihati. It’s just how things are on this side of the city.
