Sana Biryani

Sana Biryani is located at K D / 1 in Asuni Nagar, Bagur Hati. We are right here in Kolkata, 700159. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s always moving. We spend most of our time around the big handis of rice and meat. It’s hot work, and the kitchen gets pretty steamy, especially in the summer. We don't have fancy air conditioning in the back, just some big fans to keep the air moving. We aren't a big chain restaurant. It’s just a local shop where we cook what we know. The smell of the spices usually lets people know where we are before they even see the sign. Sometimes the line gets a bit messy out front on the street, and we have to tell people to move back so the neighbors don't complain. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just open the shutters in the morning and start the fires. The rice has to be just right, or it’s no good. We've had some long days here, especially during the festivals. It’s just how we make our living. We’ve been in Asuni Nagar for a good while. It’s a simple setup with some tables and chairs. We don't put on any acts. We just do the cooking and hope people like it. That’s about it for us. We don't have a delivery fleet, just some boys who take orders nearby.
