Rasraj Restaurant

Rasraj Restaurant is over at 29 in the Baguihati Market complex. We are right on V. I. P. Road in Kolkata, which is one of the busiest roads you will ever see. There is always a lot of traffic and people moving back and forth to the airport. Being in the market complex means we get all sorts of people coming in. Some are just doing their daily shopping while others are working nearby. We have been here for many years and we have seen the area change a lot. But our restaurant has stayed pretty much the same. We are not a corporate place with a big budget. It is just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. We don't spend money on marketing or polished logos. We just keep our heads down and work. The kitchen is where most of the action happens. We try to keep the place as clean as we can, even though the building is quite old. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate talk. We just want to serve a plate of food that makes people feel satisfied. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. If you are ever stuck in the traffic on V. I. P. Road, you might see our sign near the market. We are just a regular part of the neighborhood, and we plan to stay that way.
