Raksahb Restaurant

You can find Raksahb Restaurant over at Pushpangali Apartment on the Baguiati Main Road. We are in Deshbandhunagar, right across from that Syndicate Bank ATM which makes us easy to spot if you’re walking by. Kolkata is a busy city, and this road is no different, there’s always something happening outside our door. Our place is part of the apartment building on the ground floor. It’s a small operation where we cook and serve people from the local neighborhood. We don’t have a massive menu with a thousand things on it, just the stuff we know how to make well. The interior is simple, just enough tables and chairs for the lunch and dinner crowds. Some days it’s quiet and we just sit around waiting for the next order, and other days it’s a total scramble to get everything out on time. We use the local markets for our ingredients, so whatever is fresh that morning usually ends up in the pots. Living and working in the 700059 area means we know most of the people who walk past. It’s not a place for a fancy business meeting, but it works fine for a quick meal with family. We handle our own cleaning and shopping, so it stays a small, personal thing. Being on the main road means there’s a lot of dust and noise, but that’s just life in this part of Kolkata.
