Olive Inn Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at 361/25 Jessore Road in the Madhyamgram area, specifically in Ward No.22. We are inside the Panjit Plaza Building, which sits right across from the Nirmal Wire Factory. Jessore Road is always packed with traffic, as it’s a major route heading towards Barasat and beyond. You can hear the constant honking of trucks and buses from our front door. It’s a lively, if somewhat noisy, part of Kolkata. We’ve been here for a good while now, and we’ve seen the area grow and change. Being near a factory means we get a lot of workers and people on their commute stopping by. The building itself is quite plain, and we occupy a modest space within it. Every day is pretty much the same routine of opening up, prepping the food, and waiting for the lunch rush. It’s hard work and the humidity in Kolkata doesn’t make it any easier. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time. We aren’t looking to be the most famous place in town, just a reliable spot on Jessore Road. Sometimes we have issues with the plumbing or the electrics, but that’s just part of managing an older building. We don’t use any polished language to describe ourselves. We are just a local restaurant trying to provide something decent for the neighborhood and making sure the stove stays lit.
