About Night Queen Restaurant – Tourism in North 24 Parganas
Our restaurant is at 103 Jessore Road in Bangur Avenue. Jessore Road is one of those places in Kolkata that is always moving, day and night. We are right in the thick of it. The building is older, like most of the structures in this part of town. We have a small dining area that gets quite crowded in the evenings. People from Bangur Avenue walk over for dinner quite often. We’ve been here for a while and we know the neighborhood dynamics pretty well. The noise from the buses and taxis on Jessore Road is constant, so it’s never really quiet inside. We don't have any air conditioning in the front part, just big ceiling fans that have been spinning for years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We focus on getting the food out on time. The kitchen is small and gets very busy when multiple orders come in at once. Sometimes the service is a bit slow if we are short-handed, but we do our best to keep everyone fed. It’s a typical Kolkata spot—a bit chaotic, a bit noisy, but we are here every day. We don't have a fancy menu card, just a simple list of what’s available today. It’s just us doing our job and making sure the food is ready for whoever comes in. We don't care much for big signs or luxury seating as long as the food is warm. We hope people feel comfortable enough to stay a while.
