Our place, King, is located at D A 4/14 in Baguihati. We're pretty close to the Jora Mandir, which most people in this part of Kolkata know well. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and small shops crammed together. We’ve been here for a while now, just doing our thing. The shop isn't very big, so it's mostly for people who live nearby or are passing through on their way to work. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff we need to keep the place running. The kitchen is right there, so you can hear the sounds of the pans and the water running. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have some fans that help. We see the same faces almost every day, which is nice. We know how people like their tea or their food. We don't spend money on ads or anything like that because word of mouth in Baguihati is usually enough. It’s just a simple, local spot. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the street outside, but we sweep it often. We aren't trying to be the best or anything, just a reliable place where you can get a meal without spending too much. It's a small team of us, and we just keep at it from morning until we close up at night. The chairs are plastic and mismatched, but they work fine for a quick sit-down.
