King Decorator & Queen Caterers

We are located at BD 400 in the CE Market, specifically at Shop Number 14 in Salt Lake City. Salt Lake is usually a bit quieter than the rest of Kolkata, but the market area always has something going on with people buying their daily things. Being King Decorator and Queen Caterers means we are usually surrounded by stacks of plastic chairs, folded tents, and big metal cooking pots. The shop is not very large, so we have to stack things pretty high against the walls to make everything fit in. It is a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when we are preparing for a big wedding or a local festival in the block. I usually spend my mornings on the phone or writing down long lists of items we need to pack into the trucks. The staff has been with us for a long time, so they know where everything goes without me having to tell them twice. We do not have a flashy showroom with bright lights and music. It is just a place where we get the hard work done and store our gear between jobs. When the heat gets bad in the summer months, we mostly stay inside under the old ceiling fan and drink tea while we sort through the bookings. Sometimes a neighbor pops in to say hello or ask about some chairs for a small house party. It is a practical business, very hands-on, and we do not worry much.
