High Street Bar

Our bar is located inside Hotel Celesta on VIP Road in Kolkata. It is right in the Deshbandhunagar area, near Raghunathpur North. VIP Road is one of the main veins of the city connecting to the airport, so there is always a lot of movement outside. The bar itself is a place where both people staying in the hotel and locals from the nearby blocks come to unwind. It’s a standard bar setup with stools at the counter and some more private tables in the corners. The lighting is kept fairly dim to make it comfortable after a long day in the heat and traffic of Kolkata. We serve a variety of drinks and some snacks to go along with them. It’s not a huge, sprawling lounge, just a reasonably sized room where you can have a conversation. The staff has been with us for a while and they know how to handle the busy periods when the airport traffic brings in new guests. We don't have a lot of frills or fancy themes. It’s just a practical spot for a drink if you are in this part of town. Sometimes there is sports on the television and other times it's just background music. We open in the late afternoon and stay open until the city starts to quiet down a bit. It is one of those places that fills a gap for folks in this specific area.
