Flying Saucer Restaurant

Our restaurant is over on VIP Road in the Space Circle building. It is right beside the Haldiram, so that is how most people find us when they are driving toward Teghoria. The traffic out front in Kolkata can be pretty intense, but once you get inside, it’s a bit calmer. We have been running things here for a while now. The kitchen staff arrives in the morning to start the stoves and get the spices ready. We aren't a massive place, but we have enough room for families to sit comfortably. The windows look out onto the road, and you can see the planes heading toward the airport sometimes. We don't use a lot of fancy words for our food. We just cook what people like to eat. The floor gets a bit scuffed from all the shoes, and we are always dragging chairs around to make space for bigger groups. It gets really busy on Sunday nights, and the noise of the kitchen is constant. We spend our breaks standing near the back door where it's a bit cooler. Every night we lock up and head home through the same traffic we watched all day. It’s just a straightforward spot for a meal. We don't have a big philosophy or anything, just a menu and some tables that we try to keep clean for the next person. The sign outside flickers a bit when it rains, but we ignore it until morning.
