Flame Restaurant

Flame Restaurant is on the ground floor of 157 M B Road in Birati. We are right near the North Dumdum Municipality building, so we get a lot of people who work there coming in for lunch. Being in Kolkata, specifically the 700051 area, means things are always a bit chaotic outside. There are rickshaws and buses constantly going past our front door. The restaurant itself is quite plain. We have some simple lights and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon. We started this place because we wanted a spot in Birati where you could get a solid meal without any fuss or pretense. The kitchen is small but we manage to get things done. It is just a few of us running the show here. We do not have a big corporate office or a fancy website. If you walk in, you will probably see the same faces every day. We know a lot of our customers by name because they live just a few streets away and come in once or twice a week. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy and the air conditioning takes a minute to kick in, but it is a comfortable enough place to sit down for a bit. We just serve the food we know how to make and try to keep the tables clear for the next person. It is an honest little shop.
