China Green Restaurant

China Green Restaurant is located at C A 5 on Baguihati Main Road in Deshbandhunagar. We are right opposite the Mother and Child Store, which is a busy shop that everyone in Kolkata knows. Baguihati is a very crowded area and the main road is always full of yellow taxis and buses honking their horns. Our place is right in the middle of all that noise. The building is an older one and our space is on the street level. We have a few tables inside, but it is not a very large area. The walls are painted a light color that has faded over the years. We have a small counter where the bills are handled. The kitchen is in the back and it stays very humid, especially during the monsoon season. We do all the chopping and cooking ourselves. There is no corporate management or anything like that, just a few of us working together. We see a lot of people passing by on their way to the market. Some stop in for a quick bite while they carry their shopping bags. We don't have a mission statement or anything fancy like that. We just show up every morning, open the gate, and start the stove. The wooden chairs are a bit old and they creak when you sit down, but they do the job. We stay open until the traffic on the main road finally starts to quiet down.
