You can find Blue Nile Restaurant & Bar on the first floor of City Centre II, specifically in Block C, Shop No 114. We’re out in Hatiara, Kolkata. Being in a mall like City Centre II means there’s always something happening. It gets a bit loud on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. We’ve been here since the 700157 area started getting busier. It’s not a huge place, but we have enough room for folks to sit down and have a drink or something to eat. We aren’t really interested in being the trendiest spot in Kolkata. We just want to be a reliable place where you can sit for an hour. The staff here are mostly local people. We do our own cleaning and we handle the orders ourselves. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but that’s the business. Some people come in after a movie or after they’re done with their shopping. We’re on the first floor, so you have to head up the stairs or the escalator. It’s just a regular restaurant and bar. Nothing fancy or corporate about it. We’re just trying to make a living like everyone else in Hatiara. Sometimes the mall music is a bit much, but you get used to it after a while. We keep the fridge stocked and the tables wiped down. That's about it. We don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.
