Bhoomi Restaurant

Our restaurant is tucked away in the Rajarhat area, specifically near Shikarpur. Kolkata has been expanding so fast toward this side, and we have seen a lot of changes in the landscape over the last few years. Despite all the new buildings and roads coming up, our place stays pretty much the same as it was. It is a quiet spot where we serve traditional meals to the people who live and work around this neighborhood. The morning starts with getting the rice and fish ready, which is what most of our customers ask for. The space inside is modest, with just enough room for a few families or groups to sit together at once. We don't have fancy air conditioning or bright neon signs to attract people. It’s more of a neighborhood eatery where the staff knows the names of the people who walk in regularly. The walls have a few old pictures, and the windows look out toward the road that leads into Shikarpur. It gets a bit humid in the afternoons, but that is just part of being in Bengal. We don't try to do anything too modern or complicated with our menu. It’s just the kind of food we grew up eating at home every day. People come here when they want a break from their own kitchens or if they are passing through Rajarhat on their way somewhere else. It is a simple, honest place to get a meal without any fuss.
