Sahora Bahumukhi Chagal Palan Producer Company Limited

Over in Petari village, we have our small setup for the Sahora Bahumukhi Chagal Palan Producer Company Limited. We are located in the Senai post office area, within the Burwan block of Murshidabad. Our name is a bit of a mouthful, but it basically means we focus on goats and other farming activities. Raising goats in this part of Murshidabad is common, but doing it as a group helps us quite a bit. We don't have a corporate office with desks and chairs. Usually, we just meet at one of the houses in Petari to talk about feed and health for the animals. It is a very rural area, so we spend most of our time outdoors. The weather can be a problem sometimes, especially in the heat, but we look after the livestock as best as we can. We are just local villagers who want to get a better price when we sell. It’s hard to do that when you are just one person, so the company helps us stay organized. We do our own chores, clean the sheds, and walk the goats. There is no one else to do it for us. It’s honest work. If you come by Senai, you might see us moving animals around or just talking near the fields. We aren't trying to be big or famous, just trying to survive and keep the traditions of Burwan going.
