Green War Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our company, Green War Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited, is based in Vill-Tantipara. We get our mail at the Aurangabad post office and we fall under the Suti police station in the Murshidabad district. It is a place where the soil is the most important thing we have. Most of us here grew up with dirt under our fingernails, and that hasn't changed just because we have a company name now. Tantipara is a small village and we run things in a very local way. We meet up early in the morning before the heat gets too bad to talk about what needs doing. The office is really just a room where we store some supplies and keep our paperwork in order. There’s a lot of coming and going, with people stopping by to ask about seeds or to borrow a piece of equipment. Murshidabad has a long history of farming, and we are just trying to keep that going in our own way. We don't use big words or have complicated meetings. We just sit on wooden benches and figure things out together. Sometimes the electricity goes out for hours and we just sit in the dark talking about the next harvest. It’s about the people here and the land we work. We aren't looking for fame, just a way to make sure the crops are good and the farmers in Tantipara get what they need to survive the season.
