Murshidabad Berhampore Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our small setup is the Murshidabad Berhampore Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are based out of Paschimparanowdapara, which is a bit of a mouthful to say. It’s a small place in Daulatabad. We use Md Mirajul’s place for our meetings and to get our mail. If you go toward Kaladanga, you’ll find us easily enough. We are just a bunch of guys who farm for a living. We wanted to have a company name so we could buy things like seeds in bulk and maybe sell our produce together for a better price. It’s not fancy. The office is just a front room with a couple of benches. We spend most of our time out in the sun anyway. We don't have any big secrets or special technology. It’s just plain old farming. We grow what the soil likes and hope for the best. Sometimes the crops are great, and sometimes we struggle because of the weather. That’s just how it goes in this part of Murshidabad. We like to keep things local. Most of us have lived here our whole lives. We don't use big words or try to act like we are something we're not. If you need to find us, just ask for Mirajul or look for the guys talking about tractors and rain. We’re just trying to make a living and keep the community going. It’s basic work, but it’s what we know.
