If you are looking for us in Berhampore, we are right there in Panchanantala. Most people find us by looking for the Samrat Hotel because we are situated right beside it. It is a very busy spot with a lot of people walking by and cars honking at all hours. Ram Chander Chaudhary started this with just a small idea and it has stayed a local operation ever since. We do not have any big signs or bright lights to get attention. Most of our visitors are people who have known us for years or someone who was told to come see us by a neighbor. The office is small and often feels a bit cramped when more than two people are inside, but it works for what we need. We spend a lot of time just managing the day-to-day paperwork and talking to people who drop in. It is the kind of place where the tea kettle is always on. We do not try to act like we are bigger than we are. We know the streets of Berhampore well and we like being part of the noise and the crowd here. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little, but we just put up a few bricks and keep going.
