Domkol Farmers Producer Company Limited

Out here in Laxminath Pur, we have been farming for a long time. Domkol Farmers Producer Company Limited is just us farmers coming together. Rabban Sk’s house is where the paperwork usually sits. He’s the son of Patan Sk and everyone in the village knows them. It’s a bit of a trek to get to Gangadas Para but we manage. We aren’t doing anything world-changing, just trying to get our crops sorted and sold. Murshidabad is a place where you have to work hard if you want anything. We started this because doing it alone was getting too difficult. There are plenty of us involved now. Some grow vegetables, some grow grains. It depends on the month really. The roads here get a bit muddy when it rains so getting things moved out can be a hassle. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It's just a room with some chairs and a table where we figure out the accounts. Sometimes it gets loud when we all start talking at once. We are just local people. We know the land and we know each other. That’s how we operate. Most days start early and end when the sun goes down. If you're looking for us, just ask for Rabban’s place near the post office. We are usually around there or out in the back fields working. Most of our neighbors are part of this too.
