U.P. Handicrafts Emporium

You can find U.P. Handicrafts Emporium in the Dhannur building on Sir P.M. Road, right in the Fort area. This part of the city is always moving, with a lot of old buildings and narrow streets. We’ve been here in Fort for a long time. The Dhannur building itself has a lot of character, even if it feels a bit cramped at times. We have our space filled with all sorts of items we’ve collected. It’s not organized like a modern mall. It’s more of a place where things are stacked and stored wherever they fit. Working on Sir P.M. Road means we see a lot of different people every day. Some are just passing through, others are looking for something specific. We don’t do any big advertising. Most people just walk in because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else. It’s a bit dusty and the lighting isn't the best, but it feels like home to us. We spend our hours sorting through stock and talking to whoever comes through the door. It’s a very traditional way of running things. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day at our spot in Dhannur. That's really all there is to our business.
