Unique Frame Crafts

Our shop is number 102, right on the main road in Siddharth Nagar. We are directly across from the Adarsh Building in Masjid Bunder West. If you know this area, you know it’s always packed with people and trucks. It is a very busy commercial hub. Inside our shop, it is a different story. We have frames stacked against almost every wall. There is always the smell of wood glue and sawdust in the air. We’ve been making frames for a long time. It’s a dusty job, and my hands are usually covered in something by the end of the day. We don't have a lot of space for customers to sit, but we have plenty of samples to look at. People bring us all sorts of things to frame, from old photos to modern art. We just take it piece by piece. It is a small family-run operation. My nephew helps out with the deliveries, and I handle the assembly. We don't use any high-tech machinery, mostly just the old saws and clamps that have worked for years. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we get the work done. Living and working in Masjid Bunder means you have to be okay with the noise and the crowds. It’s just how things are here. We open early to avoid the worst of the midday heat and get a head start on the orders.
