Sunrise Exports (India)

Working out of the Runwal Commercial Complex on LBS Marg is always an adventure because of the Mulund traffic. We are up on the 220th unit. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow in the morning, so some of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. Sunrise Exports is basically just a group of us sitting in a room with a lot of filing cabinets and a couple of old fans that make a clicking noise. LBS Marg is loud, you can hear the horns honking all day long, even from inside the office. We spend most of the day looking at spreadsheets or talking to drivers on the phone. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We usually eat lunch at our desks or go down to the little stall near the entrance of the complex. The carpet is a bit worn out in the corners from where we move the chairs around. We don’t really have a lot of visitors, mostly just delivery guys and people dropping off documents. It’s a functional space. We’ve been in Mulund for a long time, and we know all the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the road work outside. It’s just a regular Mumbai office life, trying to keep everything moving and making sure the exports get where they need to go without too much trouble from the port or the trucks.
