Sumit Export

We are based in the Panch Ratna building, specifically at 1904. This is right in the Opera House area, which everyone knows is the heart of the diamond trade. Sumit Export is just one of many offices in this big building. The elevators are almost always full and there is a lot of security around, which is normal for this part of Mumbai. Our office is small but it works for what we need. Most of our day is spent on the phone or handling various shipping documents. We deal with exports, so there is always some form of paperwork that needs to be filled out or a package that needs to be tracked. It’s not very glamorous work. It involves a lot of sitting at desks and looking at screens or checking items before they go into boxes. The view from the window shows other buildings just like ours. We don’t really have a big sign or a lobby. People who come to see us usually have an appointment or have been doing business with us for years. It is a fast-paced environment and the noise from the streets below never really stops. We just try to keep our head down and get the shipments out without any mistakes. It is a steady business in a very busy part of the city.
