Spectrum Exports

At Spectrum Exports, we’re located in Prasad Chambers, room 812A. It’s one of those busy buildings in the Opera House area where everyone seems to be in a hurry. Our office isn't very large, so we have to be careful with how we use the space. There are desks pushed against the walls and plenty of chairs for when people come by to discuss business. We focus on exporting, which means a lot of our time is spent looking at small details and making sure the weights and counts are exactly right. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the routine well. The elevators in this building are always slow, so we end up talking to the neighbors while we wait. Inside the office, it’s mostly quiet except for the sound of typing or someone talking on their mobile. We have stacks of boxes ready to go out, and sometimes they block the walkway. It’s not the kind of place you’d find in a magazine; it’s just a working office with a lot of paperwork and a few samples sitting on the desks. We try to keep the windows clean, but the Mumbai smog makes it a losing battle. Most of our days are spent checking emails, filling out forms, and making sure the courier picks up on time. It’s a steady pace, and we just keep at it day after day.
