Soni Handicrafts

Our shop, Soni Handicrafts, is located at 41621 Pydhonie. We are on the 2nd Floor on Diagonal Road. It’s right below the Ghoghari Mohalla Masjid. Pydhonie is a very crowded and old part of the city. You have to climb some steep stairs to get to us. We have all sorts of handcrafted items packed into the shelves and corners. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we get a lot of new stock in. The area is famous for its markets, and we’ve been part of that for years. You can hear the sounds from the street all day long. The masjid is a major landmark, so people usually find us eventually even if the lanes are confusing. We don't have a big display window at the front. You just have to come inside and look around for yourself. Most of the things we sell are made by people we’ve known for a long time. It’s not factory stuff. There might be a bit of dust on the boxes, but the items inside are good. We drink a lot of chai while we work and talk to customers. It’s the way things go in Pydhonie. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going by the window light. It’s a family-run thing. We aren't trying to be a big mall. We just like the crafts and the people who come to buy them. It’s a busy, noisy, wonderful place to be every single day.
