Shubham Exports

We’ve got our office over in Dadar East at number 13241. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze, but that’s Mumbai for you. Everything is crowded and everyone is in a rush. Shubham Exports isn't a big corporate firm; it’s just us working out of this space near the station. You can hear the trains rumbling by if it’s quiet enough, which it rarely is. The building is old and the lift is a bit moody, so we often just take the stairs. Our daily routine is mostly about paperwork and coordinating with the docks. We drink way too much coffee because the days get long, especially during the monsoon when everything slows down. There’s always someone coming in or going out, usually a delivery guy or a neighbor dropping by for a chat. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come in, you’ll probably just see me or one of the other guys buried under some files. We’ve been at this Dadar East address for years, and we know all the local tea stalls and where to get the best snacks in the afternoon. It’s a lively place to work. We just focus on the export side of things and try to get the orders right without making a big fuss about it. It’s honest work in a very busy part of the city. We just keep going, day after day.
