Shruti Designs Pvt. Ltd.

We are based in Century Bhavan on the first floor, right on Dr. A. B. Road in Worli. Shruti Designs Pvt. Ltd. has been in this particular building for a while now. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always some kind of noise or construction going on outside. Inside, it’s mostly just us at our desks or gathered around the big wooden table looking at drawings and fabric samples. Things can get pretty messy with all the sketches, rulers, and fabric scraps lying around. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room, so if you walk in, you’ll just see us working. We spend a lot of time staring at computer screens or talking about colors and textures. It’s not always glamorous like people think design work is. There are a lot of tight deadlines and sometimes we’re here late into the night trying to fix a mistake before a deadline. The light in the office is okay, but we could probably use some better lamps for the detailed stuff. We drink a lot of strong coffee to keep ourselves going. Most of our clients are people we’ve known for years and they just drop by. We don't really do the whole corporate pitch or big presentations. We just show what we’ve been working on and go from there. It’s a bit cramped with all the storage boxes piled up, but it works for us. Just a small team trying to make things look right.
