Shree Shyram Handicraft

Shree Shyram Handicraft is down on the ground floor over in Girgaon Kalamboli. We are right opposite C.P Tank, which is a very busy spot as most people in the area know. The shop is filled with all sorts of things we make. It’s usually a bit crowded inside because there is a lot of stock and materials lying around. We spend a lot of time working on individual pieces. Some days it is quiet and other days there are many people coming in to look at what is on the shelves. Being in Girgaon means there is always something going on outside. The noise from the traffic near C.P Tank never really stops. We’ve been in this ground floor space for some time now. It’s not a big showroom with bright lights, just a regular place where the work happens. We keep the doors open mostly to let the air in. You can see the dust from the street sometimes, but that’s just life in this part of town. We handle the items carefully, wrap them up in newspaper or plastic when someone takes something home. It’s a lot of manual work. Our hands are always busy with something. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break, then it’s back to the crafts. It is a straightforward business and we just focus on making the items as they should be made.
