Regal Watch Depot

Regal Watch Depot is located in Metro House on S B Road in Colaba. We are right next to Cafe Mondegar, which everyone in the city knows. It’s a very busy part of town. The shop is part of the Guru Nanak Dev Market area. I’ve seen thousands of people walk past that window over the years. We sell watches and we do repairs too. It’s a lot of work keeping up with all the different brands that come out. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of wall space for the clocks and the watches we have for sale. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when there are three or four customers inside at once. Colaba is always full of noise and people, and our shop is right in the middle of it. We get locals who have been coming to us for decades and then we get tourists who just walked in because they saw the sign. I spend a lot of time sitting at the back fixing things under a magnifying lamp. The light in the shop isn't the best, so I have a big lamp on my desk. I don't really use a computer for anything except the basic stuff like accounts. Everything else is written down in a big ledger. It's an old way of doing things, but it works for us. We just want to make sure the watches keep ticking when they leave here. That’s enough for me.
