Krishna Watch Co

Our watch shop is located in Teju Mansion in Parel, at number 41279. It’s an old building, and you can feel the history when you walk inside. We’ve been here for many years, sitting behind the same glass counters. The shop is full of the sounds of hundreds of clocks ticking at different times. It’s a bit of a small space, but we’ve managed to fit a lot of watches and parts into it over the decades. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who have been coming to us since they were kids. We spend a lot of time with magnifying glasses over our eyes, poking at small gears and springs. It takes a lot of patience, and sometimes the eyes get tired. We don't have any of those modern digital displays or bright neon lights. It’s just simple shelves and wooden cabinets. Parel has changed so much around us with all the new tall buildings, but Teju Mansion stays pretty much the same. We like the old-fashioned way of doing things. We have a small bench where we do all the repairs, and it’s covered in tiny tools. People bring us everything from old pocket watches to modern wristwatches that need a new battery. We just take our time and make sure things are working right before they leave. It’s a quiet, slow-paced kind of work in a very fast-moving city. We usually close up when the street outside starts to get dark.
