M S Traders

M S Traders is up on the first floor of the Mohalta Market Building in Mumbai. Being in a market building means it’s always loud and there are people constantly moving boxes up and down the stairs. We deal with trading various items, mostly things that other shops in the city need. Our space is functional rather than pretty. We have shelves full of stock and a couple of desks for the paperwork. Mumbai is a tough place to do business because everything moves so fast, but we’ve managed to stay here for a good while. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just answer the phone and talk to the people who walk in. Most of our day is spent checking what came in and what needs to go out. The air in the market can get a bit stuffy, so we keep the fans going all day long. We know most of the other traders on the first floor. We aren't trying to build an empire; we just want to provide a reliable source for the goods we carry. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the city traffic, but we just deal with it as it comes. It's a simple operation, run by people who know the market well. It’s hot in the summer but the business keeps us moving every day.
