Reems Exports

Reems Exports is over in Santacruz West. We are in the Rameshwar building, specifically B-53 on S.V. Road. If you know Mumbai, you know how hectic S.V. Road can get at any time of the day. The honking never really stops outside our window. Our office is a bit small and we have boxes stacked up in the corners quite often. We have been doing exports from this spot for several years now. It is a bit of a trek to get here if you are coming from the other side of town because of the traffic. The office has a very lived-in feel to it. There are files everywhere and the walls are covered with old calendars and hand-written notes. We don’t have a big corporate team. It is just a few of us handling the paperwork and talking to clients. We usually eat our lunch at our desks while we work. Sometimes when it rains really hard during the monsoon, the windows leak a little bit, so we have to move the papers away. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet people. You just walk in and find us working. It is a practical way to run things. We focus on getting the shipments ready and making sure everything is in order. It isn’t always easy, and some days are just stressful, but we manage to get through it.
