Radio Watch Company

Radio Watch Company is located in the Gultekdi Industrial Estate. We are on the ground floor of the Zainul Abedin Building. Sandhut Road is the main way to get here. It is an industrial area, so there is always the sound of machines or trucks moving around. We work on radios and watches here. It’s a practical kind of place. We don't have a big window to show off products or anything like that. Most of our work is repairs for the people who work in the factories nearby. They bring in their watches that got banged up or their radios that stopped making sound. The floor is concrete and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't bother me. I have my bench and my light and my tools. That is all I really need to get the job done. Gultekdi is a busy place and it gets very hot in the summer months. We have a small fan that blows the air around, but it doesn't do much when the sun is out. I’ve been fixing things for a long time and I don't see myself doing anything else. It's a quiet life inside the shop, even if it's noisy outside. We don't make a big deal out of anything. If you have something broken, you bring it in and I see if I can fix it for you. It might take a few days depending on how much work I already have. That’s just the way it is here.
