Pushpam Watch Centre

Pushpam Watch Centre is located at 4 C on the Ground Floor in Fort. Being in Fort means it's always crowded and there's a lot of noise from the street. Our shop is small, just enough space for me and the watches. I’ve been sitting at this same spot for years. The light coming in from the door is usually how I see what I’m doing, though I have a lamp for the really small stuff. People in Fort are always in a hurry. They drop their watches off and want them back in an hour. I tell them it takes time. You can’t hurry a mechanical movement. We see everything here, from very old pocket watches to the new digital ones. I prefer the old ones. They have more character, even if they are harder to fix. My hands are stained with a bit of grease from the old gears, but that's fine. It shows I've been working. We don't have any fancy displays. Just some watches in a glass case and my tools on the table. It's a basic setup. We’ve been on the ground floor here for a long time, and people know where to find us when their watch stops. We just keep doing what we do, making sure the people of Fort know what time it is, even if they are always rushing around. There is something about this part of the city that keeps you busy no matter how small your shop is.
