Progressive Exports

You can find us at the Hind Saurastra Ind. Estate over in Marole. Being in Andheri(E) means it’s always hectic. The trucks are constantly coming in and out of the estate gate, and the noise is something you just get used to after a week or two. Progressive Exports is tucked away in B-11. We spend a lot of our time packing boxes and checking shipping lists. It gets pretty hot in the warehouse during the summer months, but we have a couple of big industrial fans that keep the air moving a bit. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of employees or a human resources department. It's just a smaller group of us who know each other well and work side by side. We handle a lot of paperwork because of the shipping side of things. Sometimes the printers act up or the internet goes slow right when we need to send an important invoice, which is a real headache. We mostly just focus on getting the crates out the door on time. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around on pallets. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any plants in the office. If you come by, you’ll probably see us in the middle of loading a truck or taped up in bubble wrap ourselves. It’s just honest work. We’ve been at this spot for a long time and know all the other shop owners in the estate. We just keep things moving as best as we can without making a big fuss about it.
