Our office is at 202 Roop Darshan, which is behind the New India Stop Quarters in Andheri West. It’s a bit of a quiet pocket in Jagajeeven Ramnagara, compared to the main roads of Andheri. We are on the second floor, so you have to walk up a few flights of stairs to get to us. The room isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit our desks and all the filing we need to do. From the window, we can see the quarters and the trees that line the back lane. It’s a comfortable enough place to spend the day. We usually have the radio playing quietly in the background while we go through the invoices and shipments. Being tucked away like this means we don't get a lot of random foot traffic, which is fine for the kind of work we do. We mostly deal with our regular contacts over the phone or through messages. The furniture is a bit mismatched, mostly stuff we’ve picked up over the years. We keep a small kettle in the corner for making coffee when the afternoons get long. It’s a simple, honest workplace where we just get on with things. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing cricket in the lane below and you can hear them shouting. It feels very much like a home-grown business. We’ve stayed here because it’s convenient and we know the area well. It might not look like much, but it's where we get the job done.
