Pradeep Watch

Pradeep Watch is tucked away in the Gurukrupa Dilkhush Compound. We are right opposite the Trimurti Film Studio on Yamuna Mill Road in Dahisar. It’s an interesting place to be. Sometimes we see people from the studios, but mostly it’s just the local workers and families. The shop is small and a bit cluttered with old boxes and spare parts we’ve collected over the years. We never throw anything away because you never know when a rare gear might be needed. Dahisar is quite a walk from the main city, but we like it here. My father started this, and I just kept it going. We fix the straps, change the cells, and sometimes deep clean the movements. It’s tedious but someone has to do it. The Yamuna Mill Road can get dusty, so we keep the watches under glass as much as possible. It is a simple life. We open early and stay until the sun goes down. People know they can find us in the compound. We don't have a big neon sign. Just the name Pradeep Watch and the sound of ticking. It’s not a glamorous job, especially being so close to a film studio, but it’s what we know. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the timing right for everyone who walks in. The neighbors are good people and they keep us busy enough to keep the shop running year after year.
