Pictures & Frames

You can find us at Pictures & Frames, which is Shop No. 1 in the Basera building. We are right in the Lokhandwala Complex in Andheri West. It’s a lively part of town, and there is always something happening on the street outside our door. Most of our time is spent surrounded by wood, glass, and a fair amount of sawdust. We don’t have a massive showroom; it’s more of a working shop where we actually put things together. The smell of glue and cut timber is pretty much always in the air. We keep the shop open through the heat and the rain, just doing the work as it comes in. Andheri West is a busy place, so we get a lot of noise from the cars and people passing by Basera. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside sometimes when we have large frames leaning against the walls. We don't use a lot of fancy machinery, mostly just the tools that have worked for us for years. There is something nice about finishing a frame and seeing it lean against the counter before it goes out. We just handle the daily tasks, sweep up at the end of the day, and start over again the next morning. It’s a simple life at Pictures & Frames, and we don't try to make it anything more than it is.
