Nikita Exports

We are located up on the 6th Floor of Mehta Mahal, which is at 15, Mathew Road in the Opera House area. Being on the sixth floor means we get a little bit of a view, but mostly we are just looking at other buildings. The elevator is usually packed with people, so we’ve learned to be patient. Nikita Exports is basically a few rooms filled with desks and a lot of samples. It’s not the kind of place that looks like a showroom. It’s more of a working office where we spend hours on the phone or checking through shipments. Opera House is a very fast-paced neighborhood, and you can feel that energy even up here. We get a lot of couriers coming in and out all day long. Sometimes it feels like we are just moving items from one side of the room to the other. We don't have a big staff, so everyone knows exactly what needs to be done. We eat our lunch at our desks most days because there is always something that needs attention. It’s a lot of staring at spreadsheets and making sure the numbers match up. We’ve been in Mehta Mahal for quite some time now, and we’ve seen a lot of other businesses come and go. We just keep our heads down and keep working to get things done right. It is a long day every day.
