Niharikaa Fabrics

We are located at shop number six in the Mangal Smruti building. It is right on 14th road in Khar West. If you look across the street you will see the big Tribhuvan Das Bhimji Zaveri shop. They have a lot of security and fancy lights over there while we are just a small fabric shop on this side. We have rolls of cloth stacked up all the way to the ceiling in some parts of the shop. It smells like fresh cotton and dye in here most of the time. The space is a bit narrow so when we have more than three people inside it feels very full. We spend a lot of time measuring out lengths of fabric on the big wooden table we have at the back. The fans are always running to keep the dust off the silks. Outside the traffic in Khar is usually a mess so we hear a lot of honking. Sometimes the light coming through the front door is just right for seeing the true colors of the threads. We have been here for several years and seen shops around us change hands many times. We just keep doing our thing with the textiles. It is a lot of folding and unfolding every single day. We do not really have a big sign out front so people usually have to look for the building name. It is a honest day's work and we like being part of the neighborhood.
