New Bharat Watch Center

You can find New Bharat Watch Center right at the entrance of the Motor Market in Kandivali. We are at shop number 1, so we see everyone coming in to get their cars or bikes fixed. It’s a very loud place to work, with the sound of engines revving and people shouting over the noise of the market. I’ve got a small space where I sit and work on watches while all that chaos happens outside. A lot of my customers are mechanics from the market or people waiting for their vehicles to be repaired. They figure they might as well get their watch battery changed while they wait. I have a lot of tools for opening up watch cases, and I keep a big supply of batteries on the shelf behind me. The air is often a bit dusty because of the market, so I have to be careful when I open up a watch that nothing gets inside the movement. It’s a practical kind of shop. We don't have any velvet cushions or fancy lights. People just want their watches to work so they can get back to their jobs. I’ve been in this spot for a long time, and I know most of the other shopkeepers in the Motor Market. We all just work hard and try to get through the day. It’s a good community to be a part of.
