Our office is tucked away in Unit No. 3-5 at the Neeru Silk Mills compound. Being over here on N.M. Joshi Marg in Lower Parel means we are right in the middle of everything that happens in this part of Mumbai. The Mathura Mills Compound has a lot of history, and you can still feel that old mill vibe when you walk through the gates. Monotona Exports Ltd. has been here long enough that the guards know us by name. It is a busy place with people coming and going at all hours, and the traffic outside on the main road can be a real headache some afternoons. Inside our unit, things are mostly about getting the export work done and making sure we don't fall behind. We have a few desks and a lot of samples sitting around, nothing too organized but we know where everything is. It gets a bit warm in the summer, but we have some fans that keep the air moving. We don't spend money on expensive furniture because we’d rather just focus on the actual work we do every day. Lunch breaks are usually spent grabbing something quick from a nearby stall or sitting together to talk about the weekend. It is just a normal day-to-day grind for us here in the heart of the city, and we are fine with that.
