Modern Interiors

I’ve been running Modern Interiors here in Vakola for a bit now. It is right in Indira Nagar near the Goandevi area. You know how the Vakola Pipeline road is, it gets pretty busy with people moving around all the time. Santacruz is a crowded place but we managed to get this spot fixed up. We handle various interior things. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a workspace where we get things done. Mostly we are busy with local work from around the neighborhood. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for people to park, but they find a way. The shop isn't hard to find if you know the pipeline route. We started small and stayed that way because it's easier to talk to people directly. Most days I’m just here checking on materials or talking to the guys about the next job. It gets a bit messy with the dust and all the wood pieces lying around, but that is just how it goes in this line of work. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people just walk in or hear about us from a neighbor. It feels okay being part of this part of Santacruz. It’s noisy but it’s home for the business. I try to keep things organized but sometimes the piles of samples just grow on their own. That's life here at the Vakola end. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way.
