If you look for us near Tilak Nagar Station, we are right there in Building No 1. It is number 18. Mauli Traders Watches has been in Kurla for a long time. This area at the Sarkhej Sanand Crossing is always crowded, especially when the trains let out. You can hear the announcements from the platform if the wind is right. The shop is small and packed with all kinds of watches. We have boxes stacked up because there is never enough shelf space. It gets dusty with all the construction and the traffic outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the glass. We aren't trying to be fancy or modern. It is just a regular shop where people come when their watch stops working or they need something cheap and sturdy for work. We see a lot of commuters who are in a hurry. They drop off a watch in the morning and hope to pick it up on their way home in the evening. Sometimes we can do it, sometimes it takes longer if the parts are hard to find. Being in Building No 1 near the station means we see everyone. It’s a busy spot in Kurla, and we’ve become part of the daily routine for a lot of folks around here. We just keep our heads down and do the work. Building No 1 is easy to spot once you get out of the station. We’ve been through some rainy seasons where the water got close to the door, but we stayed put. People know us as the place that’s always open.
