Kotak Bros Exporters

Operating out of the Oshiwara Industrial Centre at 341-B, we stay pretty busy with the exporting side of things. Kotak Bros Exporters has been in this unit for quite a while now. We are right opposite the Goregaon Bus Depot, which means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long, and the New Link Road is always jammed with cars. It makes for a lively atmosphere, even if it is a bit dusty. Inside our space, we have stacks of crates and packaging materials everywhere. We spend a lot of our time checking labels and making sure the weights are right for the shipping containers. My brother and I started this together, and we still do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. We don't have a big staff, just a few reliable people who know the routine. Lunch is usually something quick we pick up from one of the stalls nearby. The office part is just a small corner with two desks and a printer that jams way too often. We have to keep the door open most of the time to get some air moving through the place. It isn't a glamorous job, but we enjoy the rhythm of it. Seeing a truck loaded up and heading out is the best part of the day.
