Khadi Gram Udyog Bhavan

We are set up here at Khadi Gram Udyog Bhavan, which is right inside the campus of the Radha Krishna Restaurant in Andheri West. The location is on Mit College Road and it is not too far from the Kothrud Depot and the Shoppers Stop. It is a bit of a specific spot to find if you aren't already familiar with this part of town. We deal with traditional goods and various local products that people use every day. It is mostly a quiet place to work. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the wooden shelves and talking to the regular people who drop by to see what is new. It is not like a big shopping mall experience at all. It feels more like a small community center some days. We carry things that are mostly made by hand, so you will notice that nothing is ever perfectly identical. That is just the way it is with these kinds of traditional products. The staff working here has been around for many years. We don't do any flashy advertising or anything like that. Most of our visitors are students from the college nearby or people who are finishing up their shopping at the depot. It is a bit of a walk from the main bus stop but it is a nice enough area. We keep the place simple and clean. There is no real pressure here, just come in and browse.
